From our location in the Southwest, it's a quick trip to Mexico. We like
visiting the beaches at Rocky Point and San Carlos. We had a great experience
when we flew to La Paz and took a bus across the Baja Peninsula to the
Pacific side and the lagoons where gray whales migrate. The whales are called
"the friendlies," because they approach small boats and appear to enjoy being
petted by humans.
